A switch feeding data networking in VanHousen South, east side, suffered a mechanical failure. All clear 11:00am.
Misconfigured computer(s) in Kellas Hall knocked off the campus wired data network, and sections of the wireless network. All buildings back online except Kellas Hall.
The maintenance on blackboard was completed at approximately 6:30 AM this morning. The problem affecting content uploads has been resolved.
Blackboard is currently down undergoing emergency maintenance.
Problems with Resnet connections to campus systems have been identified and remedied.
There have been problems with dorm connectivity to campus services since the power outage. Technicians continue to look into the issue.
In the aftermath of the power outage, the mail server experienced an operating system problem and was offline for most of the night. All delivered mail was queued and is now being delivered. The backlog should clear in the next half hour.
Meeting Maker has been upgraded as scheduled. Users are reminded to now use their Campus Computer Account to login to their calendar. Palm users will need to install new conduits. Conduit installers, and more details of the upgrade, are available at http://www3.potsdam.edu/cts/meetingmaker.
CTS will be upgrading to the newest release of the Meeting Maker server tomorrow, Wednesday Jan 9 at 5:30 PM. The server will be down for approximately four hours during the course of the upgrade and data migration. Users should have received an e-mail with details of the upgrade.
