Campus-provided SPSS will be unavailable for use tomorrow, Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 4:00 A. M. to 7:00 A. M. while SUNY performs maintenance on the License Manager Server.
Network and Phone issues have been resolved. If you continue to experience trouble accessing the campus network and/or Internet from your computer, please reboot. If the problem persists, contact the CTS Helpdesk.
The Campus Phone system is experiencing an unplanned outage. Technicians are investigating.
Network Instability continues. Anything network-based will have performance issues. Symptoms of the problem we are experiencing include, but are not limited to: choppy and erratic phone performance, Helios disconnections, slow internet browsing or pages failing to load, and errors when printing large jobs. Investigation is still ongoing. –Steve Major
Primary services have been restored. We still continue to experience some network slowness. Technicians are continuing to look into the problem.
Technicians will perform a reset of the network electronics serving our main data center this evening. This will necessitate taking most of our high-availability services offline for the duration of this maintenance. Work will commence at 9:30 P. M. An update will be published when maintenance is complete.

The campus was hit with a massive influx of network traffic. The devices receiving this traffic have been targeted and taken offline. Things should be back to “normal”.
