As of 2100(9pm)the fiber cut has been located and crews are working to reach the cut and restore service.

PAETEC our local and long-distance carrier is currently seeing several DS3 circuits being affected by a Fiber Cut in the area. PAETEC is working with the underlying carrier to restore services. We will continue to stay engaged until resolution. Thank you.

We are currently experiencing a telephone outage due to a fiber cut. Four digit dialing, on-campus calls are not affected by this outage. All calls to and from off campus will not be completed at this time. We will update the status as more information becomes available.

Bearmail will undergo a 1 (one) hour maintenance window tonight starting at 2200 (10PM), during which the service may be inaccessible.

Tonight from 22:00 to 23:00 (10:00 pm to 11:00 pm) blogs.potsdam.edu will be unavailable in order to facilitate system maintenance.

Banner/BearPAWS/HR Time Accounting services have been restored.

Currently, the database the supports the following services – Banner/BearPAWS/HR Time Accounting – has experienced a locking problem. These services should be restored shortly.

At this time, all service interruptions related to Saturdays power outage are believed to be resolved.

On Saturday, 11/27, there will be a campus-wide power outage from 7AM to 7PM for pre-cogeneration maintenance of the campus electrical system. CTS has decided to bring the entire campus data network and services down for the duration of this outage, and is announcing an outage window of 5AM to 9PM on 11/27.
