CashNet services should now be restored. We thank you for your patience.
Some critical maintenance is currently underway with our production CashNet system and will effect all services using CashNet to take payments. This outage should be brief. An update will be posted in approximately 10 minutes. Please stand by.
Services that are currently unavailable include BDMS, Apex, Filemaker, Webwork, and the Course Equivalency Tables. Technicians are aware and working on the issue.
Notice: all areas of CTS will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
On Sunday, May 17, SUNY Oneonta will conduct its annual electrical outage for maintenance on electrical and IT Systems. This outage will mean that the SICAS Website, Help Desk, List Serves, email and all other SICAS services including the ability to download software will not be available until Monday morning.
Power to campus has been restored. CTS Staff is auditing and monitoring systems. And lingering outages will be addressed ASAP.
The campus is experiencing a power outage. The extent of affected systems is unknown. Some phones are still operational, as is our main Data Center. More information when we know more.
There is planned maintenance outage of the Degree Works PRODUCTION environment Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 5:00am to 7:00am EST. ITEC has provided the following explanation of what is being done: “ITEC will be installing upgrades to Apache/PHP/Perl/OpenSSL to all Degree Works production application servers.” Service will be unavailable during this maintenance window.
Computing & Technology Services has discovered a potential vulnerability in accessing the Librarys On-Line Resources, resulting in usernames and passwords being sent unencrypted when accessing these resources from off campus and the dorms, and possibly from on campus, during the last month. It is not known if any user credentials were misappropriated due to this error. The vulnerability has been fixed but the server involved is still undergoing configuration to permit off-campus access to work properly. CTS is working to restore full functionality. If you have used the Library’s On-Line Resources in the past month, protect your account by changing your password: 1) visit the Potsdam home page 2) click Campus Tools (upper right) 3) click CTS 4) click Services 5) click Campus Computer Account 6) and finally click Set/Change CCA Password As a general rule, if you ever suspect your login credentials have been used by someone else, follow the above procedure. As always, if you have questions about the content of this notice, please contact the CTS Helpdesk: helpdesk@potsdam.edu
This is a reminder that there is an extended maintenance window scheduled on May 10 between the hours of 1am to 11am EDT. Please expect for CASHNet to be down during this time.
