As of 7:47am telephone services to Lehman, Thatcher and Brainerd Halls are back but will be sporadic. There is also the possibility that services will be up and down until for short and long periods of time as we locate the problem and resolve the cause of these outages.
As of 06:00, Friday November 20, 2009 there is “NO” dial tone to Lehman Hall,Thatcher Hall and Brainerd Hall. We are currently working diligently to restore telephone service to these buildings and will update this page with any changes.
Tonight at 10:00PM, Internet1/Internet2/SUNYnet service will be disrupted for up to 5 minutes as maintenance is performed on border equipment.
As of 10am on 11/10/09 on an off-campus calling has been fully restored.
Caller’s to our campus are continuing to receive a fast busy. We are also experiencing sporadic outages when placing calls off-campus. At this time you are able to place calls but is hit and miss if they get through. We expect to have off and on-campus dialing 100% back in service by noon today, 11/10/09.
CTS will be performing a four (4) hour maintenance window starting at 2000 (8PM) on 11/03/09. Meeting Maker, webproxy and other internal services will be intermittently unavailable during this window. In addition domain logins will be sporadically unavailable from 2300 (11PM) to 0000 (Midnight)
Mailing list (lists.potsdam.edu) and active content services (pluto.potsdam.edu) will be periodically unavailable tonight from 21:00 to 22:00 (9:00 pm to 10:00 pm) in order to facilitate system maintenance.
A critical component of network storage suffered a system fault and required a reset. All services should be available at this time.
Various campus services (helios, www, mailing lists, and others) are experiencing a service interruption. Technicians are working to restore all services at this time.
