Most likely due to power anomalies two nights ago, one of the mail volumes on the campus mail server requires maintenance. Some users will not be able to check mail during the maintenance. No new mail will be delivered, but will be queued for later delivery when maintenance is complete.
Due to a power anomaly in the main campus data center, some services are currently offline. These include BearPAWS, Banner, and HRWeb. No ETA for problem resolution.
Starting at 10PM this evening, the SMTP server(s) responsible for local email delivery will undergo an extremely brief maintenance window, during which time sending mail from on-campus will not be possible. The entire outage is expected to be on the order of minutes. Both checking mail (POP/IMAP), and receiving mail from off-campus domains, will not be affected.

There will be outages lasting 2-3 minutes of all network segments impacting most/all of the campus, as technicians work to locate the source of a network problem. Save early. Save often.
We are receiving reports of intermittent network connectivity issues across campus. Technicians are aware of the issue and are looking into it.
Recent Helios instability in the wee hours of the morning is causing inconsistencies in the user backup sets (_backup folders). For those users who have critical data on Helios, and for which they consider backups necessary, CTS is encouraging the use of additional personal backup copies of said data until the situation stabilizes. Technicians are working diligently to correct the issue.
Helios will be going down for a brief maintenance window starting this evening at 11PM. Window expected to be less than 10 minutes.
