As a result of the datacenter cooling problems this morning, some storage area network hardware experienced problems. This left data volumes critical to the operation of BearPAWS, Helios, and E-mail in an inconsistent state. It is believed these services are once again fully-operational.
Cooling problems in the main campus datacenter have resulted in loss of some systems. All hands are working to restore systems, and provide temporary cooling capacity.
Helios backup volumes are once again online. During the procedure, helios required an unexpected reboot.

Blackboard will be unavailable from 10pm to midnight this evening in order to facilitate system maintenance.
Starting at 9:00pm tonight, Internet and Internet2 (R&E) access will be sporadic as connectivity equipment is upgraded. The window is scheduled for 2 hours.
Tonight at 22:00 (10pm) Blackboard will be unavailable for a short time as back-end database and system modifications are tuned. While these changes should only take a matter of minutes, Blackboard may be unavailable for as long as 45-minutes to an hour.
Between 2:00 and 2:30 this afternoon, network maintenance will be performed in MacVicar to accommodate network growth. There may be a series of brief network outages during this window.
