Status Announcements

The mail server is back online on new hardware. All deliveries are being processed.

Bbeginning at 12:30AM this morning, the mail server will be going down for a two hour maintenance window to accommodate migration to new hardware. Mail to off-campus addresses will still be delivered, while mail to on-campus addresses will be queued for later delivery.

A network mixup alienated a storage volume serving the campus e-mail server. All clear.

As a temporary means of keeping the mail infrastructure on-line, the number of allowed BearMail and MailGuard connections during peak hours will be substantially reduced. This measure is an interim solution until necessary enhancements can be made in the near future to rectify the stability and performance problems.

The mail server was rebooted after experiencing a system error.

Electrical problems in the Raymond NOC have caused equipment failures. No ETA.

Currently we are experiencing heavy processing loads on our database server which is causing Banner/BearPAWS and HR Web to respond slowly or be completely unresponsive. We are investigating the problem.
