ITEC has resolved the issue at our new VTC data center. Banner/BearPAWS/BearDeN accessibility has been restored.
ITEC has reported an emergency situation with connection to the new VTC data center which has rendered Banner/BearPAWS/BearDeN inaccessible. They are currently working on a solution to restore accessibility soon.
Updates to the campus telephone system were completed yesterday afternoon at approximately 5:00 PM. If there are any new phone outages, please report them via email to either the TelCom office (telcom@potsdam.edu) or the campus Help Desk (helpdesk@potsdam.edu).
Further updates to the campus telephone system will begin Tuesday June 19 at approximately 2:00 PM. Services affected will include Elevator, Emergency, Blue Light and Courtesy phones, as well as FAX lines. Outages should be brief, likely less than 90 minutes in any given area, and all analog phone services should be restored by approximately 6:00 PM. Notifications will be posted here when maintenance begins and is complete. If this poses any issues, please contact the TelCom office via email at telcom@potsdam.edu
CTS will be working with vendor support to perform an update to our phone system Wednesday, June 6, 2018. No interruption of phone service is anticipated. If, however, phone service is affected; information will be posted here.

The current phone service outage is affecting some outbound traffic as well as incoming calls. Further updates will be posted when they become available.
Incoming phone service to the campus is down at this time. A trouble ticket has been opened with our Service Provider asking for immediate assistance. Testing is in progress and any updates received will be posted as soon as they become available.

Due to Voice Mail System updates, the phone system requires unforeseen maintenance, that will be performed this evening starting at or after 5:00 PM EDT. Any interruptions in phone service should be minimal, and the campus will be notified when the work has been completed.
