The replacement equipment for the emergency and related phones that are currently offline is now scheduled to arrive no later than 10:30 A. M. Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 5. Technicians will be on-hand to receive and install the equipment right away. Updates will be posted if there are any changes, and when service has been restored.
The Voice Mail system is back online. Users should again be able to dial in to retrieve their messages. If you are still unable to check your messages, please contact the CTS Helpdesk: helpdesk@potsdam.edu or 315-267-4444.

Some office phones are still offline in the wake of this weekend’s network outage. Technicians are aware and are working to restore service to affected phones. This will be ongoing throughout the morning/day.
Equipment failure (unrelated to today’s network outage) has resulted in an outage of emergency and related phone service to a portion of the campus. Affected areas and phones include R.A. room phones, fax machines, bluelight phones, red emergency phones, and elevator phones in and around the following buildings: Knowles, Crane, Maxcy, Performing Arts Center. Replacement equipment has been shipped and will arrive and be installed Monday afternoon.
Network functionality has been restored. Helios 3 is still offline, but being worked on. Technicians are working to confirm operation of Blue Light phones and all desk/office phones. Technicians traced our network issues to a single component and have remediated the issue. Maintenance on the affected component will be scheduled and announced this coming week.
