Our last scheduled outage for the week will be tonight, January 13th, beginning at 11:00 p. m. and lasting until 6:00 a. m. Work this evening involves replacing hardware in data closets throughout campus. All campus services – including Moodle, SoGo, Banner, SUNY Portal and Telephony – will remain available during this time, except from localized areas on campus. Each campus building will experience a very brief outage while hardware is replaced. If you are off-campus, you will not see any disruption in service related to tonight’s activities. If you have an emergency during this outage, contact University Police at 315-267-2222.
Tonight, January 12th, beginning at 11:00 p. m. and lasting until 6:00 a. m., CTS will be replacing critical portions of our network electronics infrastructure in the campus datacenter. All campus hosted services – including SOGo, e-mail/BearMail, Moodle, Helios, and Telephony – will be affected. Network access on campus will be sporadic at best during this time. Tomorrow, January 13th, beginning at 11:00 p. m. and lasting until 6:00 a. m., CTS will be replacing network electronics in numerous data closets throughout campus buildings. All campus services will remain available during this time, except from localized areas on campus. If off-campus, you should see little, if any, disruption in service. All authentication issues are now resolved. (SUNY Secure Login / HRPortal / Bearpaws). If you have any issues logging into these services please contact the Helpdesk at x4444.
BearPaws/Banner authentication is now working. SUNY Secure Login (SUNY Portal / HR Portal) authentication is still down. Technicians are working on it.
At this time updates to the various service authentication issues are as follows: BearMail: RESOLVED. BearPAWS: NOT RESOLVED, in progress. SUNY Secure Login e.g. Portal, HR, etc: NOT RESOLVED, assessing.
Our trouble ticketing system has been restored. Unfortunately, any problem reports entered on January 7th were lost. We ask that users who had reported an issue on the 7th please resubmit their request. Issues reported on the 8th and 9th which have not yet been resolved are being logged into the system and you will receive the automated RT emails as confirmation shortly after.
Many user accounts are reporting as unavailable or not existing. This is affecting many login services such as the previously reported BearPAWS issues as well as, but not limited to, other services such as BearMail and Moodle. Technicians are aware of the issue and working towards resolution.
Users attempting to access BearPAWS are receiving a “not authorized” message. CTS is investigating.
All voice mail services have been restored. Thank you for your patience while services were being restored.
