The campus mailing list server (lists.potsdam.edu) will once again be unavailable from 22:00-00:00 this evening to facilitate continuing maintenance.

Tonight from 22:00 to 00:00 the campus mailing list server (lists.potsdam.edu) will be unavailable to facilitate system maintenance.
A series of conditions caused large-scale instability in the campus webserver resulting in approximately 30 minutes of “unavailability” of www,www2,www3,blogs, and other web services. At this time, all systems have returned to normal operating conditions and all services should be once again available.
Maintenance on the campus administrative network is complete.
The campus administrative network (offices, printers) will undergo maintenance tomorrow morning (9/29) at 6:30AM, window to last approximately 45 minutes. Brief network service interruptions can be expected during the window. Labs and wireless service will not be affected.
The problem which was causing some network users to not have network access has been found and removed. Anyone still not able to access the Internet should reboot BEFORE calling the Helpdesk for assistance.
Some users are having trouble connecting to the network this morning. CTS is aware of the problem and is working toward it’s resolution.
Replication backlog has cleared and all systems should be operating normally.
A backlog in the process that replicates content to the production webspace is causing increased load on the campus webserver. This increased load is principally manifesting itself as increased load times and possible timeouts. Once the backlog has cleared, all systems should return to normal operation and an update will be posted here.
As of 19:21 all SUNY Potsdam Telephone services are working. Incoming calls to campus are completing and calls to off-campus locations nationwide are now completing.
