As part of the migration of student home directories from helios to OneDrive, all student home directories (those ending with a digit) on helios are now READ-ONLY. Files can be read and copied from these directories, but cannot be created, changed, or deleted. If you are a student and open a file on your helios home directory, you will not be able to save it back to helios. Do a “Save As” and save it to your OneDrive account or to your local machine. Some applications may not be able to open a file correctly from a read-only location. In this case, use drag-n-drop to first copy the file to OneDrive or a local destination, and open it there.

The CTS Helpdesk will be CLOSED on July 3rd, 2017. E-mails and voice messages will be returned beginning on July 5th, 2017.
Users should now have access to all their normal Helios shares. If you are still having trouble connecting to Helios, please restart your computer and try again. If problems persist, contact the CTS Helpdesk at helpdesk@potsdam.edu or by phone at 315-267-4444. If no one is available to take your call, leave a message to ensure the fastest response.
We have many reports from people unable to access Helios. CTS is aware of the problem and is investigating.
Several server systems suffered an unscheduled outage from approximately 9:50 to 10:15 today, including the directory pages for the campus web site. All systems have been restored without data loss, and should be operating normally now. CTS apologizes for the inconvenience.
