[ANNOUNCE] CLARIFICATION on email outage

The announcement a few minutes ago, that the email outage was over, relates only to the downtime needed to make some tuning adjustments on the mail server (to fix the problem of some users receiving timeout errors when checking mail). The restoration of email from before last week’s crash is ongoing. Current expectation, based on data transfer rates seen recently, is that all mailbox restorations should be complete within 24 hours.

[UPDATE] E-mail is being delivered

E-mail service has been restored. Mail queued up over the last 48 hours is being delivered to all user InBoxes. Sending and Receiving of e-mail is working normally again. Mail present before this service interruption is NOT currently present in your mailboxes. CTS continues to work at restoring that mail. A more detailed notice about this will be sent tomorrow (Tuesday).
