CTS Announcements & System Status

A system anomaly caused an extended outage of Banner/BearPAWS services. At this time, all systems are returning to normal and normal operation of services should be available.

The CMS will be unavailable on Monday, April 23rd beginning at 08:00 (8 am) and lasting for the majority of the morning/early afternoon while engineers perform an upgrade of the CMS software. An estimated time that this maintenance window will be completed is not available. Similarly, www.potsdam.edu may experience intermittent outages during this period of time.

Tonight at 23:30 (11:30), Moodle will be breifly unavailable (approx. 15 minutes) to faciliate backend system maintenenace.

Tonight at 23:00 (11:00pm), Helios will be breifly unavaialble to permit a short maintenance window. This should last no longer than 10 minutes. Additionally, various web services including the online directory, www2 space, & campus blogs will be unavailable for up to an hour while scheduled maintenance is performed.

The Banner database server was overloaded and required a reboot. Banner/BearPAWS and HR Time Accounting should be available in 15-20 minutes.

The CMS will be unavailable on Tuesday, April 10th beginning at 19:00 (7 pm) and lasting for the majority of the evening while engineers perform an upgrade of the CMS software. An estimated time that this maintenance window will be completed is not available. Similarly, www.potsdam.edu may experience intermittent outages during this period of time.

A fault in a critical network electronics component that caused widespread outages yesterday evening also caused corruption of data in the Blackboard database. Engineers have completed recovering the database and Blackboard should be functioning as usual. Please report any problems.

The CMS will be unavailable on Monday, April 9th beginning at 09:00 (9 am) and lasting for the majority of the morning/early afternoon while engineers perform an upgrade of the CMS software. An estimated time that this maintenance window will be completed is not available. Similarly, www.potsdam.edu may experience intermittent outages during this period of time.

Beginning at 13:00 (1pm) tomorrow (4.4.2012), the CMS will be unavailable in order to facilitate an upgrade to the CommonSpot software. The main campus website, www.potsdam.edu should be accessible for the majority of this time, but may encounter periods of isolated unavailability.

Maintenance on the AIS systems has been completed. Banner/BearPAWS and HR Time Accounting are now available.
