The campus mailing list server will be unavailable between 10pm and midnight on Wednesday the 19th due to upgrades.
W@SP, the wireless network, suffered a prolonged outage from around 9:00pm last night until a few minutes ago.
The mail server is again operational. All mail queued for delivery during the outage is being delivered. Users are encouraged to restart their e-mail program if they left it on.
We are experiencing problems with e-mail, and it is currently unavailable. We will update as we know more.
Beginning at 5:00pm, networking (wired and wireless) in Stowell Hall will be unavailable twice, for up to 2 minute each time, as necessary upgrades are performed on network components.
At 3:00pm, a transformer will be added to the Stillman Datacenter UPS, to increase our power capacity. This is probably not noteworthy, but in the event of a complete server farm shutdown, thought you’d like to know. Optimus Prime will be on standby.
Penguin, a server housing numerous services including Track.potsdam.edu, will be rebooted between 4:30pm and 5:00pm for maintenance.
The mail server is back online.
The mail server is recovering from disk problems. We expect to have it operational in approximately 30 minutes.
