A system malfunction occurred on Helios and resulted in a small service interruption principally for shares. The interruption lasted for approximately a couple minutes. At this time everything is expected to be functioning normally.
All services are now back online.
A storage volume underlying a handful of virtual machines required emergency maintenance this morning. This has impacted the campus website, directories, and other services including Helios. Services are coming back online now.
A network storage issue caused a service interruption to a handful of core services this morning. These services included www/www2 & Moodle. At this time all services should be functioning normally.
Web services hosted on www and www2, Moodle, and Helios file sharing will be unavailable this evening/morning beginning at midnight and lasting for approximately 2 hours. This maintenance window is necessary to facilitate the replacement of malfunctioning hardware.
Unforeseen problems with the Moodle upgrade resulted in a significantly protracted outage. While far from ideal, ultimately the maintenance was completed successfully. Engineers apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
Moodle will be unavailable for approximately 15-20 minutes this evening at 22:00 (10pm) to facilitate an upgrade of the Moodle software.
Beginning at 00:00 this evening/tomorrow morning, there will be short rolling service outages among a variety of CTS services. Affected services include but are not limited to www/www2/assorted web services, RT tracking system, Moodle, & BearPAWS/Banner Forms.
The maintenance concluded successfully and all shares are back online.
